Bishop Ignacy Łobos

Bishop Ignacy Łobos was born in 1827. He was a great personal friend of Mother Columba and a supporter of the Congregation at large. As a chancellor of the Przemyśl curia he always unremittingly served with kind advice in matters pertaining to the new foundation in Wielowieś and erection of the new Dominican community. His letters to Mother Columba display great concern for both Mother Columba and her spiritual daughters.

In 1882 Leon XIII appointed him the auxiliary bishop of Przemyśl diocese, Poland and then in 1885 the ordinary of the diocese of Tarnobrzeg, Poland.

Bishop Ignacy Łobos died in 1900 r.
